01
Pack & organise
Keep items together and make them easier to identify at delivery.

Moving cartons
Contain household items, books and smaller belongings. Box size and strength should suit the weight of the contents.

Packing tape
Seal carton seams and secure outer packing. Tape is used on the wrapping rather than directly on finished furniture.

Inventory & handling labels
Identify the room, box number and contents, with handling instructions to support sorting and unpacking.

Hardware bags
Keep screws, fittings and small parts together when furniture is dismantled. Label each bag for its matching item.
02
Wrap & cushion
Choose layers for the item's surface, shape and handling needs.

Corrugated sheets & rolls
Provide an outer layer around furniture and appliances, with extra attention to corners and exposed edges.

Bubble wrap
Cushion suitable fragile items. The amount of wrapping and outer support depend on the item and route.

Foam sheets
Separate delicate surfaces and provide a soft layer between items to help reduce rubbing.

Packing paper
Wrap crockery and smaller items, separate pieces and fill gaps inside cartons.

Stretch film
Hold protective layers together and help keep loose wrapping in place. Film alone is not impact cushioning.
03
Cover & support
Discuss extra protection for larger, heavier or special-care belongings.

Moving blankets
Cover furniture during handling and provide a reusable protective layer around suitable items.

Mattress & sofa covers
Cover upholstered items against dust and handling marks. Cushioning may be needed as a separate layer.

Packing straps & edge protectors
Keep suitable outer packs together, using corner protection where needed. Packing straps are not lifting equipment.

Wooden crates
Offer rigid outer support for selected fragile or special-care items. Crate dimensions and internal cushioning need assessment.
Agree on the packing plan before moving day.

Discuss the layers
Ask which wrapping, cushioning, cartons or crates suit each item, and what is included in the price.
Plan the handover
Agree on labels, dismantling, unpacking and what will happen to used packing materials after delivery.
